5 Reasons Bringing Your BFFs On the Honeymoon Might Be The Best Thing Ever

Exclusive access to expert wedding planning advice and resources from top industry professionals.
1. You’ll have plenty of people to recap the big day with.
Already can't wait to relive your wedding weekend? By bringing along your MOH and a couple of pals, just like Jen, you can ensure that you’ll have someone other than your new hubby or wifey to go through the details of the day, peruse social media for photos, and laugh at anything crazy that may have gone down.
2. You’ll have company to help beat the post-wedding blues.
After a long engagement like Jen's, it’s safe to say that a girl gets used to being a bride. As soon as the wedding is over, she might feel a certain degree of let down that her “big day” has come and gone. Hanging with your new spouse will certainly help, but extra encouragement from your best buds can be a great bonus. They won’t let you wallow in the aftermath or let you come close to souring your first trip as a married lady.
3. You can continue the celebration with your nearest and dearest.
Keep the party going long after the cake's been cut and the bouquet’s been tossed! If there’s anything better than a wedding after party, it’s an after after party set in the tropics with cocktails and recreation for days. Plus, if you didn't get to hang with your besties as much as you wanted to on the big day, this is the perfect way to squeeze in some quality time before it’s back to reality...
4. You'll have a cohort to chill with no matter what.
You and your other half may not want to leave each other's side while you're away (hello newly married bliss!), but if one of your wants to surf and the other wants to hit the spa, then inevitably someone in the group will be game to go with you! Do your thing with your buds, then meet up later for happy hour by the pool or breakaway for a private dinner between the two of you.
5. You won't have to make “couple friends” on your honeymoon.
If you’re going somewhere with major "just married" appeal, there’s a good chance you’ll be shacking up with a bunch of other newlyweds. While some couples are excited by the possibility of making new friends, others aren't so interested. Of course, by bringing your squad along, there's no need to get chummy with the couple in the cabana next door (#nonewfriends).
