5 Glamorous Golden Globe Looks You'll Want for Your Big Day

Take the style quiz to get personalized content.
The 2016 Golden Globes were completely elegant. With dashing presenters (Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt) in dapper suits, to stars with long white trains, and jeweled chokers, the award ceremony gave us tons of inspiring aisle-worthy style. We're seeing a major nod to "I do" fashion with these must-haves such as a train revival, cut outs, and long, flowing sleeves. Besides loads of glamour, even Barbie got in on the action with this elegant award show. The cheeky Instagram account, A Doll World After All, recreated some of last night's fresh trends. Here are the top five looks we think planning nearlyweds will absolutely adore.
1. Trains.
We're predicting that the cape-like train will be making an appearance in bridal outfits this year. This elegant detail was rocked by the "Empire" star and Best Actress winner, Taraji P. Henson, as well as Lily James, Saiorse Ronan, and Regina King. Minimalist brides will love the way this timeless piece can make a simple dress look seriously chic.
2. Cutouts.
Cutouts have been rapidly growing in popularity in the wedding world. With all the oh-so-tasteful looks we saw heading down the red carpet on celebs like Julianne Moore and Brie Larson. @e're totally convinced this trend is going to be popular for quite a while. Many brides are going to be all about slipping this hot look into their nuptials. Or, style your 'maids in a gorgeous Kate Hudson inspired outfit.
3. A-line dresses.
Many famous guests opted for a classic a-line frame, or even rocked a full-blown ball gown. If you're the kind of bride that has always dreamed elegance on your big day, you can follow in the footsteps of Gina Rodriguez, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, and Amy Schumer. Or, if you want a look that'll make your significant other's jaw drop, you can go for a sexy, sleek number, like Emmy Rossum, Olivia Wilde, and Sophia Bush wore.
4. Plunging necklines.
It's not surprising that many starlets took the plunge. There's no doubt that deep necklines are going to be making a statement in a big way for "I do" fashion. Lady Gaga looked ooh-la-la in a black custom Versace gown and we loved Taylor Schilling's smoking outfit in a sparkling pantsuit (this is a great option for Tomboy brides). Dive right into this trend like Kristen Dunst's show-stopping dress, or you can sweeten this look with a goddess-style gown like Saiorse Ronan.
5. Backless and embellished dresses.
We are totally crushing on Alicia Vikander's simple ruffled, cross-strapped dress. Her fresh look could be an ethereal bridesmaid dress, and we think it would look so sweet at a rustic countryside wedding.Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to Eva Green sported the cross-strap detail on their dress backs and looked flawless. We can't wait to see more of this trend in wedding dresses.
