Juniper, Aubrey Maria Design's retail and event space, opened in March 2020 and immediately transformed into a place to unite a community of female artists who supported each other to make it through. Juniper blossomed into a full retail operation out of necessity as wedding after wedding was postponed or canceled due to the pandemic. I am so proud of what Juniper has become in the last two years, and I’m so fortunate to have the best team of women on board who made it happen. But I’m ready to release Juniper in order to focus again on what I love and where I feel I excel — wedding flowers. Juniper will continue to support local artists and will increase retail space as I transition event florals out of the retail shop. We’ll be adding grab-and-go bouquets and a huge selection of plants. You’re going to love our plans for the retail expansion! My design team and I will relocate to an expanded event space down the road at Donaroma’s Nursery and will operate under the auspices of Donaroma’s. The new space will give us the flexibility to spread our wings in order to create truly over-the-top arrangements for our brides with the full support of expert designers Sue Weyl and Mariko Kawaguchi. We are joining forces with a business that not only taught me so much but also has earned its reputation as a solid island institution that has delivered joy to customers through florals since 1977.
