A Whimsical Spring Wedding at the Old Whaling Church

Emmy and Mike's wedding was designed around a colorful, fun aesthetic to represent the combination of the serene backdrop of Katama Bay and the dunes of South Beach with the vibrant, loud beach scene that comes from the Jersey Shore (where Emmy grew up spending her summers) for a perfectly balanced vibe. Their day started with a ceremony at the Old Whaling Church to honor their spirituality while still incorporating personal touches. After the pair said "I do," guests headed to the reception, where the goal was to create a free-flowing setup to encourage nonstop celebration! The design team created a mix of traditional tables with cozy lounge vignettes to let guests mix and mingle. An emphasis on local cuisine and the couple's favorites was key: bites served included an oyster bar with freshly caught and shucked Katama Bay oysters, locally caught swordfish, pork roll sliders, and donuts. Vibrant colors and lush florals tied the whole space together for the most joyful atmosphere!
