Groovy Glamour Wedding in New Orleans by Theresa Matherne

This Groovy Glamour-styled wedding was inspired by our joint passion for color, glitz, glam, and the disco/70's era. Elements from the '70s can be found throughout the shoot - from the disco balls hidden in the ceremony floral arrangements to the Pet Rock favors for the guests (a collectible that made its debut in 1975). Other nods to the '70s include "groovy baby" straws, Pop Rock candy, vinyl escort cards, and more! One of our favorite aspects of the design was the silent disco scene during the reception. To provide depth to the dance floor space, we added mylar balloons in different shapes and sizes to the truss system to enhance the experience provided by the lighting and disco balls.
