An Elegant Summer Celebration at the Cleveland Botanical Garden

Working as orientation leaders at Case Western Reserve University, Taylor and Dajan were randomly paired to lead the same group and began dating by the end of the week. Eleven years later, he proposed during her first trip to his native Croatia. Their summer wedding at the Cleveland Botanical Garden honored both of their heritages with ceremonies in a Croatian Catholic church and a Ukrainian Orthodox church, followed by portraits with photographer Emily Millay among the lush gardens. Taylor carried a bouquet of orange and pink peonies with a photo charm of her late father, and the reception celebrated their cultures with traditional korovai bread and joyful Croatian, Polish, and Ukrainian dances.
