A Whimsical Summer Wedding at Beaulieu Estate

The Story
Meagan and Joe’s wedding was a perfect fusion of elegance, personal meaning, and joyful celebration. Despite a few unexpected challenges during planning, the day unfolded beautifully with cool weather, a stunning sunset, and even dolphins leaping during dinner. Designed to reflect them both, the celebration combined Meagan’s Korean heritage with American traditions. They held two ceremonies—an American ceremony and a Korean Pyebaek—and incorporated thoughtful details like flower girls and mothers in traditional hanboks. Meagan’s family wore pink, a nod to Korean customs, and floral accents tied in her late grandfather’s love of gardening, honoring the man who inspired her return to North Carolina, where she met Joe. The menu was a delicious mix of Southern favorites and Korean flavors, featuring Georgia peach kimchi with fried chicken, smoked brisket with soju, and late-night bites like Korean twist donuts. Specialty cocktails honored both Meagan’s grandfather and their beloved dog, adding a personal touch to every toast. With a team of vendors who became friends—from the chef who custom-created dishes, to photographers capturing every detail, to a supportive planner—the day felt like pure magic, a perfect tribute to Meagan and Joe’s unique love story.
