Inspired by an eclectic heart and maximalist color palette, Michelle and Nick’s wedding day was a display of bold hues, sparkle, and untamable texture. Their original concept was playfully dubbed “Elton John’s Midnight Garden Party,” initially sparked by a photo Michelle had found online of a woman draped in florals and tulle. Hosted at the Fairlie Chicago, this industrial space offered brick interiors to set the backdrop for this dreamlike event. The florist was instructed to exclude white from the arrangements and instead highlight magentas, purples, and bright turquoise blues. Michelle customized her gown by Calla Blanche, incorporating elements from three different dresses to ensure she had the perfect amount of lace, sparkle, and train. Nick wore a custom velvet green suit paired with suede Gucci loafers. For a second look, Michelle donned a silky gown with draped sleeves and a flowy skirt for ease on the dance floor. Her pearl sneakers complemented her heart-shaped pearl sunglasses while she was caught popping confetti cannons as guests dined in the moody candlelight.
