A Romantic Fall Wedding at National Museum of Women in the Arts

Bonnie Sen · Washington, DC

The Story

Lindsay and Jacob’s fall wedding at the National Museum of Women in the Arts was a stunning celebration of love, inspired by Jacob’s favorite flower, blue hydrangeas. The couple booked the elegant venue site unseen while living in NYC, trusting it would perfectly fit their 180 guests. Shades of blue, sage, and cream complemented abundant floral arrangements that adorned the ceremony and reception, including a breathtaking chuppah of white roses and a cascading hydrangea runner on the head table. The hand-painted hydrangea cake echoed their custom watercolor invitation suite, which featured embossed florals and a velvet band. Guests enjoyed live portrait painting, custom bars, and a delicious dinner of short rib and salmon before dancing the night away with espresso martinis. Bonnie Sen’s photography thoughtfully portrayed the magic of this unforgettable autumn day.
