A Modern Summer Wedding at Gaia Urla

The inspiration behind the wedding was to gather the Bride and Groom's closest family members and friends and make it an intimate celebration. The venue had so much greenery so not many decorations were needed. The bride and groom kept it simple and elegant. They did not have any bridesmaids and groomsmen just because they wanted to make this day about themselves. The Bride and Groom got married in Turkey and in traditional Turkish weddings, there are typically 2 witnesses other than the guests. After the bride and groom say I do, the witnesses should also say they do to prove they are witnessing this moment and then they can be pronounced husband and wife. They wanted to share this sacred moment with their siblings whom they are both very close with. A very special touch (and now a trendy one too) was both bride and groom took polaroids after getting ready. The picture was taken as if they were looking at each other and they placed the polaroids on their wedding cake. As high school sweethearts who have been planning this day for years now, the small wedding was everything they had dreamed of and more.
