From spills and stains to tears and blisters, that truth is that you never know what will happen on the big day. That's why packing a small purse (or dare we say, fanny pack...) with some in-case-of-emergency items is kind of crucial. Here are eleven essential items you'll be glad you brought with you to the wedding. Ask your planner, mom, or trusted Maid of Honor to hold on to 'em so you've got immediate access if needed!
1. Tissues. Hello, happy tears! Stash packs of tissues away in your kit, and have your MOH tuck one away in her pocket or bouquet to hand to you if you tear up during the "I dos."
2. Baby wipes. Baby wipes are great for removing runny makeup or getting rid of small stains. They're also perfect for doing a quick wipe down if you get sweaty!
3. Hairspray. Pack a mini bottle of hairspray for quick hair touchups! Hairspray also helps hold a fabric bow in place. So, if your bridesmaids have bows that won't stay tied, go ahead and spray them down.
4. Mints. You'll be talking to a lot of people on the big day, so keep your breath fresh! And don't forget about that big kiss...
5. Chapstick. All that talking, kissing, and smiling can make for chapped lips! Pack an uncolored Chapstick in your bag to swipe on your lips when they're feeling dry.
6. Band Aids. Didn't break those shoes in as well as you thought? Make sure you have some Band Aids handy to stop blisters from bringing you down.
7. Baby powder. Before you start dancing, put a little baby powder in your hands and gently pat it into your underarms until they no longer appear white. The talcum in baby powder helps dry out skin and stop sweat in its tracks.
8. Oil-blotting sheets. You want to glow, but you don't want to shine... If you're holding down the dance floor, you may want to pause every now and then for a quick blot. You'll be glad you did when you see the photos!
9. A hair tie. Even if you're planning to wear your hair down, make sure to pack a hair tie. You may have a change of heart (especially if your venue gets a little toasty).
10. A change of shoes. Pack a pair of flats or sandals in case you want to change. You don't want uncomfortable heels to hold you back on the big day!
11. An umbrella. Hey, you never know when it might rain! Pack an umbrella just in case it sprinkles (or pours).
