7 Reasons to Seriously Love Summer Weddings

Yes, summer is almost here! And based on your calendar for the next few months, you probably know it’s a very popular season to get married... So, whether you’re just starting to plan your own warm weather I dos, you're about to walk down the aisle, or you're attending weddings every weekend for a while, these seven reasons summer weddings are kind of everything are sure to get you in the celebratory spirit.
 1. The weather, of course. Throughout the country, the weather is warmer and a little more predictable. Yes, you still need a back-up plan in case of rain (or extreme heat), but it's a very good time to anticipate an outdoor party. And the celebration can be all day—you can have a bright ceremony, and it’ll stay warm late into the evening, so you can dance the night away under the stars. Swoon!
2. You can take gorgeous outdoor photos. Even if the ceremony and reception are inside, you can certainly take advantage of the sun and warm weather for photos. Unlike in other seasons, you can pretty much count on blue skies and green grass and beautiful blooms—forget barren branches and gloomy clouds!
 3. Any color palette works. Cold weather weddings can make couples feel limited to jewel tones and neutrals, fall weddings usually complement the changing leaves, and spring weddings often lean toward pastel palettes. But summer weddings have no rules! Brights are popular, but neutrals, cool colors, deep jewel tones, and pastels all work, too.
4. You've got nearly limitless flower choices. Some of the most popular (and most colorful) blooms — cosmos, dahlias, daisies, irises, orchids, lilies, sunflowers, the list goes on — peak during the summer months. Not only will they look their best, but they’ll be a little cheaper, too!
5. From casual to classy, any style works. It can be tricky to pull off a low-key wedding in the winter, when festivities tend to be a bit more glam. But if you’re dreaming of an informal affair, like a laid back BBQ, the summer is perfection. That doesn’t mean all summer weddings need to be super relaxed, though. A swanky rooftop, country club patio, or private estate’s garden all make for great venues, too.
6. You can create a seriously delicious menu. Sure, there are great food and drink options for every season, but it's really hard not to love summer fare! From refreshing drinks and treats (lemonade or ice cream, anyone?) to sliders and fresh fruit, you have tons of options to fill your menu from cocktail hour through dessert.
7. There's just something in the air... Is it just us, or is there a certain magic to a sunny summer afternoon or a soft summer night? Enjoy that contagious warm weather energy with outdoor lawn games, a packed dance floor, and a beautiful celebration
