The Life-Size Cutouts of the Couple's Dogs Made This Beautiful Big Day One for the Books

She knew right away that this was who she was meant to spend forever with. Read on to see how their stunning big day went down: One hot summer day, Melissa and Tom were out at his parents' summer home on the North Fork of Long Island. Melissa was looking for Tom so that they could go grab some ice cream, and began to get aggravated when she couldn't find him anywhere. Suddenly, she stumbled across a note and instructions, which ended up being a solo scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt took Melissa through some of her favorite North Fork locations, including the Kontokosta Vineyards, where she found Tom down on one knee. Melissa and Tom describe their personal style as laid back and fun-loving. Melissa's vision for their wedding was woodsy and whimsical. Their ceremony took place in picturesque Fort Tryon Park, featuring a panoramic view of the George Washington Bridge and New Jersey skyline. Melissa's romantic tulle gown and blonde ringlets gave off a fairy princess vibe as she walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "You Look Wonderful Tonight." The groom and groomsmen's navy suits were the perfect compliment to the mix and match blush bridesmaid dresses worn by Melissa's closest friends.The couple knew that the park was the perfect setting for their wedding when they stumbled upon a sign in the park's gardens that read "Allison's Walk" — a perfect start to their life as Mr. & Mrs. Allison. Melissa and Tom's reception continued at New Leaf Restaurant on September 16, 2016. The escort card table featured wood stumps with slits that contained guest seating assignments and a box of Cinderollies for guests to maximize their time on the dance floor.Flower crowns were handed out during cocktail hour for guests to take candid snaps using the hashtag #AllisonsWalkDownTheAisle. The reception boasted views of the stars through a clear tent with romantic string lights. The flowers were a mix of pink, peach, blush, ivory and green blooms complimented by wood blocks with hand-painted table numbers. Tom's uncle, who is a baker, prepared wedding cakes in various flavors for the guests to enjoy at the end of the evening. Tom also shocked guests when he jumped up on stage and played a song with the band for all of the guests to enjoy. But the biggest surprise of the evening was the cardboard cut-outs of Melissa and Tom's beloved dogs. One of the bridesmaids had life-size cutouts made of the precious pups to display at the wedding and by the end of the evening guests were dancing with the cut-outs and taking selfies with the 2-D versions of the beloved four-legged family members.
