A Whimsical Spring Wedding in Murrells Inlet

Murrells Inlet, South Carolina
Dennis and Olivia's vision for their wedding was, as the bride describes it, "Lowcountry Garden meets the Inlet." While she wanted the day to embody the nature and beauty the inlet has to offer, she was aiming for "Southern, not stuffy" - and we think she nailed it! The day was full of personalized elements, like Olivia's "something blue" (a blue butterfly to represent her late older brother), milk glass centerpieces as a nod to Olivia's grandmother's collection, a memory table flanked by mannequins donning the each of their mothers' wedding dresses, a family cake table with 8 homemade cakes from both sides of the family, and a miniature figurine hidden in the flowers surrounding the cake to represent Hank, the couple's beloved Chesapeake Bay Retriever (and signature cocktails named after him too, of course!). Bright, joyful florals were incorporated throughout the day for an explosion of color, and they blended well with the setting, since Camellias and Azaleas were in bloom in the family residence's front yard to add to the colorful, whimsical vibe. This wedding was one full of personal family touches that made the day oh-so-special for the couple and every single guest.
