A Romantic Summer Wedding at The Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill

After nine years of dating, Besnik proposed to Lindsay at their annual getaway spot in Saratoga Springs, New York, in August 2020. As a lover of aesthetics and design, Lindsay knew she would need help planning the outdoor wedding celebration they envisioned, filled with delicious food, a packed dance floor, and intentional details for their guests to appreciate. Lindsey Kleidman of Wildflower Events and Design worked with the bride to navigate all of the wedding decisions and the planning process. When they visited the Wadsworth Mansion at Longhill Estate, the breathtaking grounds, gigantic vista lawn, gorgeous hydrangea bushes, and mansion backdrop captured the attention of the bride and groom and made their vision come to life. The whimsical floral arrangements by the Wild Gyp added even more elegance to the natural beauty of the Wadsworth Mansion grounds. The neutral tones, strategically-placed greenery and florals around the ceremony site and reception tent, formal attire, and modern signage all made guests forget they were outdoors. As an Albanian from a huge family, it was important to Besnik that they incorporate his Albanian culture into their wedding. The couple chose to have some traditional Albanian music with a live Albanian drummer, which took the party to the next level! Guests also participated in a traditional Albanian dance (called the Valle) in which everyone created a dance circle with the bride and groom dancing in the center. Lindsey and Besnik chose to have a late-night snack of pizza for their family and friends after an evening of dancing and celebrating. As the unforgettable night drew to a close, the bridal party and closest friends gathered around as the newly married couple danced to the final song, “I Love You Always Forever” by Donna Lewis. The fairytale did not end with the wedding, as the couple departed for a dream honeymoon two days later. They spent two romantic nights in Paris, the city of love, three days in Rome enjoying its rich history and delicious food, five days in Tuscany relaxing, and six days soaking up the sun by the ocean in Capri.
