Wild and Beautiful Art

All my life I have loved two things equally: painting and the ocean. Wild and Beautiful Art started as a hobby while I was in college studying Marine Biology. I would paint things for friends because unleashing my creative side helped calm my academic side. I graduated then even went to New Zealand to get my Masters in Marine Conservation but when I returned home finding positions in my field was incredibly limited. I ended up working in genetics at a research facility and while that was great, my heart was not in it. When my daughter was born, I left that job to be able to spend time with her and my son and told myself that if I was ever going to give my all to making it as an artist that this was the time. Just a year ago I wouldn't have believed if someone told me that I would be a live wedding painter, but now I am following a different passion and loving every minute of it!
