I’m Lorna, founder of Story Hair and Makeup and I specialize in creating stunning, natural hair and makeup for brides who want to look and feel like the best version of themselves on their big day. My journey into the world of bridal beauty started unexpectedly. After graduating from the London College of Fashion with a BA HONS in Hair & Makeup for the Performing Arts, I took a year-long trip around the world to soak in new experiences and cultures. When I returned to London, I dived headfirst into the vibrant world of fashion, working at London Fashion Week with top designers and styling teams. My passion for editorial work led to features in magazines like GQ, Style, and Company. While I’ve worked across diverse fields men’s grooming, TV, commercial advertising—weddings weren't on my radar… until a friend asked me to do her bridal makeup. That’s when I discovered my love for bridal beauty! The chance to be part of someone’s “big day” was something truly special, and weddings became a perfect fit for my growing skillset. As my passion for makeup evolved, so did my love for creating effortlessly chic bridal hair. Combining both, I now offer a complete service that balances natural, dewy makeup with soft, stylish hair. Whether you’re after a modern, boho, or timeless bridal look, I’m here to bring your vision to life. Although I’m still very much part of the London fashion scene, I now split my time between the buzz of the city and the chill of country life in Tring, Hertfordshire. When I’m not working, you’ll find me restoring our Victorian terrace home, playing with our cheeky Beagle, Burt, or chasing around my sassy son, T.
