Spyros is a photographer originally from the southwestern suburbs of Athens, Greece. His passion for photography was inspired by two key family stories. First, in 2012, after his grandmother's passing, he discovered old photographs taken by his late grandfather, with whom he shares a name. This deeply moved him and led him to pursue photography in 2014, feeling that he was continuing and evolving his grandfather’s passion. Second, his maternal grandfather, Jimmy, emigrated from Greece to the U.S. in the 1950s, where he met and married Elsie, an American woman with Irish and German roots. Despite their cultural differences, their love endured for over 50 years. Their story instilled in Spyros a deep appreciation for diversity and connection, shaping his approach to photographing weddings and couples from different backgrounds. Since 2016, he has lived most of the year in Santorini, where he visually narrates love stories through his photography.
