Alyssa's journey with flowers began in 2004 when she landed a job at a flower shop by persistently asking for a position. After the shop closed, she found herself at a high-end florist in San Clemente, CA, where she learned the craft and business under expert mentorship. Though she tried to step away from the industry, flowers kept finding their way back into her life. Her personal story took a romantic turn when she met her future husband at a campsite in Cardiff, CA, and confidently predicted she would marry him. They eloped in Big Sur and soon after started a family while making a bold move across the country. Now, Alyssa and her family own and operate Mother of Wild, formerly She Loves Me Flower Co., in Wilmington, NC. Their shop, including a mobile flower business, is a true family effort, with their children often assisting customers. Their mission is to bring joy through flowers and exceptional customer service.
