Latrobe's is a one-of-a-kind national landmark that is over 200 years old. Named for its architect, the "Father of American Architecture," Benjamin Henry Latrobe, Latrobe's on Royal was originally designed and constructed as the Louisiana State Bank. Completed in 1821, this monument is Benjamin Henry Latrobe's final building. His other works include the Baltimore Basilica, the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and other notable structures throughout the United States.
