Based in Washington, DC, Katelyn serves those with an appreciation for art, film, & a little party. Katelyn is a documentary style wedding photographer who combines fine art photography with an authentic, art-forward style. In addition to her spending time at home, she loves to visit her grandfather on Whidbey Island, Washington often and considers Coupeville her second home. She takes any chance she gets to fly out to the West Coast, and happily considers herself a Whidbey Island “local.” With a trained eye for light and portraiture, her frames capture a wedding day authentically, and true to color. She captures the imperfect, blurry moments with editorial quality; and never fails to deliver a stunning gallery. On a typical wedding day, she shoots four to five rolls of 35mm and medium format film, alongside digital and polaroids. She photographs a variety of wedding celebrations from large multi-day events to intimate elopements across the world, always bringing an individual and artistic perspective through film and digital mediums.
