Coletta’s Italian Restaurant is Memphis’ oldest eatery, family-owned since 1923, and famously home to the original BBQ pizza, one of Elvis Presley’s favorite dishes. Founded by Emil Coletta as the Suburban Ice Cream Company, Coletta’s evolved into a beloved Italian restaurant that introduced pizza to the Memphis area with a unique Southern twist. Now operated by the fourth and fifth generations of the Coletta family, the restaurant continues its century-long tradition of excellence, serving up hearty Italian classics and local favorites at its historic South Parkway and Appling Road locations.
