Carolina Jason Jazz Duo

Carolina and Jason began playing together in the spring of 2023, united by a shared love of music and a passion for live performance. As a jazz duo, they create intimate, engaging atmospheres by blending traditional jazz, blues, and bossa nova with modern touches. Their repertoire features classic jazz standards and contemporary arrangements that showcase their unique sound and improvisational chemistry. Carolina Marcelino (vocals) brings a rich, soft, and soulful voice shaped by her background in classical piano and jazz, along with training from respected Portuguese vocal coaches. Jason Kavanagh (guitar), a UK-trained musician now based in Luxembourg, contributes a nuanced and expressive playing style developed through years of performance and teaching. Together, they offer a refined yet heartfelt musical experience that captivates audiences with warmth and artistry.
