Bharat Parmar Photography has been capturing weddings for decades, turning a lifelong passion into a celebrated career. After high school, with no set career plan, Bharat picked up a camera at seventeen and discovered an undeniable love for photography. This passion led to enrollment at the New England School of Photography, where formal training was paired with hands-on experience working in a photo lab to refine technical skills in photo creation and finishing. As his experience grew, Bharat had the opportunity to assist photographers he admired, gaining invaluable real-world education that complemented his classroom learning and helped him develop a distinct photographic style. In 2006, Bharat entered his first professional photography competition, earning seven Blue Ribbons along with a Judge’s Award. A proud member of the Professional Photographers of America for 25 years, his work has earned numerous accolades, including nominations for "Best Photography in the Boston Area" on WBZ TV’s A-List in 2006 and 2007. He has been named a Wedding Wire and The Knot "Best Of" photographer multiple times and is a member of The Knot’s Hall of Fame. In 2017, he was honored with the Borrowed & Blue Award for Best Photographer in the Boston area—an especially meaningful accolade, as it was voted on by fellow wedding industry professionals. Since launching Bharat Parmar Photography in 2001, he has photographed hundreds of weddings, capturing unforgettable moments for couples and families. Known for his fun, candid, and editorial approach, along with a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, his work reflects both artistry and dedication. His journey wouldn’t have been possible without the love and support of his parents, friends, family, and most importantly, his wife, Kate—who patiently supports the countless weekends dedicated to documenting love stories.
