Hello! My name is Tess, I work and live in the lovely Capital City of Wales, Cardiff. I have worked as a professional artist for the last 4 years, specializing in portraiture. ​I began my art career at the height of the Covid pandemic. Since then, I have been working professionally to create custom portraits for clients all around the world. ​One particular thing I love about my job is making my paintings come to life. I've been fortunate enough to paint a variety of subjects and my portfolio is ever-growing.​ Recent works range from pet portraits to family portraits and live wedding paintings. An important aspect for me when creating a piece of art is knowing a little bit about the subject. This could be their favorite place or a funny story which can help me have a better understanding of the character I'm painting. ​Larger paintings are commonplace in my studio, including single portraits of multiple subjects in one painting. Incorporating creative backgrounds is also another element I enjoy about my work. Often a place or object can help us remember fond memories which can also elevate a painting completely.
