A Valentine's Wedding Woven with Meaning at The Sanctuary McKinney

The Story
Alexis and Jeremy’s Valentine’s Day wedding was a weekend meticulously planned over 13 months, yet it was defined by moments no one could have anticipated. From a 360-degree red drapery reception transformation to dancing lamp ladies, a live cigar roller, custom butter molds, and a live painter capturing guests, every detail reflected joy, creativity, and celebration. Central to it all was family, and especially Alexis’ grandfather, whose love and guidance shaped her life. When he fell gravely ill just days before the wedding, Alexis brought the wedding to him, walking into his hospital room in her mother’s 1999 gown, creating a quiet, unforgettable moment of presence and grace. On the wedding day, his memory was woven into every element — from a framed photo at the sweetheart table to his seat honored with a red bow and custom linen — while Alexis and Jeremy celebrated surrounded by loved ones. Alexis’ second dress paid homage to their playful style, and the couple’s grand exit in one of her grandfather’s vintage cars was both tribute and promise: that love, carefully tended, endures beyond a single day.
