A Glamorous Fall Wedding at Castell de Sant Marçal

Barcelona, Spain

The Story

Emily and Atish celebrated their dream wedding with a multi-day, multi-cultural event in Barcelona, a city close to their hearts. Wanting to honor both their Irish and Indian heritage, they planned a series of festivities blending traditions from both cultures. The celebrations began with a welcome party at The EDITION Hotel rooftop, offering stunning city views and Spanish-themed cuisine. Guests were greeted with cava and a henna artist introduced them to Indian culture ahead of the wedding. Day two featured the Indian wedding at Hotel Arts, set in a lush garden with a vibrant floral mandap. Atish made a grand entrance with a dhol player and color bombs, followed by Emily’s aisle walk with her closest friends. Guests embraced Indian traditions, with a dedicated saree fitting room to assist with attire. The reception was lively, featuring a sparkler tunnel entrance, a Bollywood dance performance, and unique elements like cocktails tied to trees and live dessert preparation. The final day was the Irish wedding at the 13th-century Castell de Sant Marcal. Emily wore a Pronovias princess gown, while Atish sported a custom blazer. The fairy tale aesthetic included white florals, candlelit décor, and a heartfelt ceremony conducted by Atish’s close friend. Dinner featured Spanish paella and sangria, and tables were named after vineyards the couple had visited. Their grand entrance was accompanied by a saxophonist playing "Sky Full of Stars," with their names projected onto the castle. Captured through the lens of Ivan Caster, made even more special as Emily’s father played guitar. The couple and their guests danced the night away, marking the end of an unforgettable celebration.
