A Candlelit Chicago Wedding Inspired by the Perfect Night Out

The Story

After reconnecting in Chicago following college, Olivia and Luke built a life around morning coffee walks, trying new restaurants, live music, and plenty of laughter before getting engaged five years later during a birthday getaway Olivia had planned, where Luke surprised her with a proposal. Wanting their wedding to feel like the perfect night out in their favorite city, they transformed the Chicago Cultural Center into a warm, candlelit celebration inspired by the beauty of Chicago in the fall, layering rich textures, glowing light, and personal details throughout the historic venue. Luke even designed a custom wedding logo inspired by the building's iconic architecture as a meaningful tribute to the city they love. Before the festivities began, the couple shared breakfast and took a quiet walk through Grant Park, a grounding moment that reminded them to slow down and savor the day. Olivia then slipped into a timeless draped Vivienne Westwood gown before walking down a candlelit aisle to exchange vows beneath the venue's breathtaking stained-glass dome, creating a celebration that felt deeply personal, effortlessly elegant, and centered on the simple moments they knew would matter most.
