Everything You Need to Know About Lilies for Your Wedding

Flower name: Lily (Scientific name: Lilium) Season: Spring and summer Colors available: White, pink, orange, and yellow Caring for Lilies: Before arranging the flowers, remove all leaves and cut stems to the desired length -- we recommend cutting one to two inches from the bottom. Place lilies in lukewarm water. As the lilies open, use scissors to clip the anthers (pollen pods in the center of the flower), as the pollen will stain tablecloths or clothing. Fun fact: Pink lilies symbolize wealth and prosperity, orange lilies represent passion, and white lilies are symbolic of purity, innocence, and virtue. Average wholesale cost of lilies: $2.50/stem
