When did you start your blog? 2010
What inspired you to start your blog? Why do you do what you do?
As the former owner of an event planning company, I continually witnessed hosts, hostesses, brides and grooms get so stressed out and anxious that they'd just want their event over and done with. They couldn't enjoy the party itself. I knew in my gut that there had to be a better way. I mean, at their core, parties are supposed to be fun, right? It became my mission to help others discover the beauty, meaning, and deliciousness that makes hosting gatherings worth the time and effort.
What's your point of view? Who is your reader? The Camille Styles reader has an undeniable enthusiasm and zest for life. She's curious and well-read, loves making herself and her surroundings beautiful, is inspired by art and music, and treats her body well. Most of all, she's deeply passionate about her work, relationships, and friendships.
Who/what inspires you? I love traveling to new cities and tasting new flavors.
Favorite style of party: Organic and understated with a hint of bohemian style.
Favorite party trend for 2014: Small, intimate and memorable gatherings with family and friends instead of big blowout, over‑the‑top events.
What song always gets you on the dance floor at a wedding? 90s music always brings back middle school dance memories. There's no way I could keep myself from getting on the dance floor when the first notes of a Spice Girls song begins to play.
