The love story
Matthew and Ana's love story started on a warm Atlanta evening near the Braves stadium. They hit it off immediately, chatting away for hours until her friends made a subtle exit. "We hit it off right from the start," Matthew recalled fondly, reminiscing about their first encounter on August 15, 2020. "We talked about everything and talked for almost two hours." He offered to give her a ride home and this marked the start of their love story.
From exploring Brazil, Ana's homeland, to embracing each other's backgrounds, their bond grew stronger with each shared experience. Matthew knew they were ready for this next step when he realized he couldn't imagine life without her.

The plan
Matthew's love for Ana made proposing an easy decision, but orchestrating the perfect proposal took thoughtful planning. The proposal wasn't just about a ring—it was about fulfilling Ana's dream of being proposed to in Paris next to the Eiffel Tower.
Things took an unexpected turn when he stumbled upon a proposal sweepstakes while gathering ideas for the big moment. "I read more into it and I thought it would be a good idea to try and be picked for this great opportunity," said Matthew.
Just as he started to forget about the giveaway, he received an email that stated he had won which came as a delightful surprise during a break at work. "I read [it] a couple of times thinking it wasn’t real," he laughed. The mere thought of whisking Ana away to the City of Love filled Matthew with excitement and anticipation. On Christmas morning, the couple booked their plane tickets to Paris.

The ring
Matthew meticulously chose a ring that matched Ana's style using Grown Brilliance's Truly Custom tool. With guidance from the Grown Brilliance team and Ana's sister-in-law, they selected a gorgeous Round Diamond with two Baguette Side Stones on a Platinum Silver Band.
I did my due diligence and looked at all the available selections on the Grown Brilliance website. I picked a couple that I liked. After that, I got opinions from my sister, some of my coworkers, and representatives from Grown Brilliance to pick the one.

The look
Once the most important details of the proposal was sorted out, Matthew knew he wanted to look and feel his best for this memorable moment. As part of the sweepstakes, he was able to select a suit for the occasion from rental suit brand, Generation Tux. He opted for a classic Slate Blue Suit, complemented by a petal-colored tie. After securing the perfect ensemble for what would be a perfect moment in both of their lives, Matthew was finally able to shift his focus to the proposal itself.
The location
With Paris as the backdrop, Matthew sought the ideal spot to pop the question. "She always talks about getting proposed to in Paris but specifically next to the Eiffel Tower. So this is going to be a really special location," said Matthew.
With help from Loverly and Les Entremetteuses, a renowned Parisian proposal company, they found a stunning balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower, setting the stage for a fairytale proposal. To further elevate the moment, they also provided the decor and setup needed to create a romantic ambiance fit for a proposal.
The moment
The proposal, disguised as a photoshoot with a photographer, was a moment of pure magic for the couple. When Matthew and Ana arrived at the venue, they were led up to a stunning balcony that overlooked the Eiffel Tower. He dreamt of proposing at night while the Eiffel Tower was glittering which meant he had a small window of time to pop the question. Matthew popped the question, making Ana's dream a reality. The Paris Photographer captured every emotion—the joy, the surprise, and the overwhelming love that filled the air.
