Most couples will agree that cold weather can make planning a date night a bit of a challenge. Goodbye afternoon picnics and evening bicycle rides, right? Well, worry not, because plummeting temperatures ain't got nothing on these perfectly seasonal ideas. Here are fifteen activities that you and your S.O. should totally put on your winter to do list. blanket_cuddle_engagement_photos Photo by Alixann Loosle Photography on Inspired By This 1. Plan a date night to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Start by re-watching all the old Star Wars movies at home, then snag tickets to see the latest installment on the big screen. Make sure to splurge on your favorite candies and a giant tub of popcorn (for sharing, of course)! 2. Make a sweet selfie book. Gather up the best snapshots of you and your partner from 2015 and create a printed book using an app like Artifact Uprising or Social Print Studio. Might be the beginning of annual tradition, huh? 3. Support your alma mater by getting tickets to a Bowl Game or host a viewing party at home. From tailgating to watching highlights on the big screen, you both can revel in collegiate pride. Check out the schedule here and don't forget to wear your school colors! 4. Ring in 2016 by watching "Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's Eve with Ryan Seacrest." Forget going out! Just snuggle up on the couch with a couple of glasses of champagne. Ringing in the new year will be extra cozy and sweet. 5. Make New Year's resolutions together and swear to keep them. You'll strengthen your relationship by providing support and holding each other accountable. Create a little contract to sign, promising to be one another's cheerleader! 6. Take time to do a winter sweep. 'Tis the season of giving! Spend a cold afternoon going through the clothes you don't wear anymore and put together donations for the Salvation Army or Goodwill. 7. Commit to an Instagram challenge for the month of January. Find a challenge online or make one up yourselves. Taking a photo each day will force you to get outdoors and stay active together! 8. Start a book club that's just the two of you. We suggest tackling some of Goodread's list of the best 2015 books or Amazon's bestsellers of the year. 9. Head out to a First Friday. Most cities have special events, discounts, art shows, and concerts on the first Friday of every month. Check out your local papers to see the schedule for January 1st (and make sure to bundle up)! 10. Start a new fitness plan for 2016. By exercising together, routines won't seem boring and you can keep each other motivated. Use those holiday gift cards to snag some workout gear or resolve to join a gym together! 11. Place bets on who will win The Bachelor and watch Season 20 together. Ben Higgins' season starts January 4th on ABC. Cast your votes on who'll be taking home the final rose! 12. Watch all the Golden Globes nominated movies. Work your way through the list, then root for your favorites on January 10th! 13. If you're engaged, snuggle up with a wedding planning book. Why not spend a snowy evening getting a head start on wedding planning? Our new book is pretty much the perfect place to start! 14. Get nostalgic and binge watch "Fuller House" on Netflix. Love the Tanner fam? Tune in to Netflix for the big release on February 26th and watch the entire season in a single day. 15. Snag tickets to Adele's US tour. Find the closest concert here, then plan a night out around the performance. Does it get any better than dinner, drinks, and that that voice?
