Here's the Right Way to Host a Valentine's Day Wedding

Collect, manage, and organize your wedding guest information for each event and track their preferences.
While Valentine's Day falls on a Tuesday this year—which means it won't land on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday until 2020—you may want to infuse a little extra love into your big day if you're getting hitched right around the oh-so-sweet holiday.
Need some bright ideas? Here are six tips for hosting a wedding on or around the loveliest day of the year (and without totally overdoing it):
 1. Commit to the colors.
What's more perfect than than a white and red palette? Or even white and pink? Consider a bold bouquet of red roses, choose red or pink shoes for a pop of color, or put your 'maids in stunning crimson hues.
2. Embrace the easy favors.
You've been making paper hearts and handmade Valentine's since pre-school! Consider gifting chocolate candies, heart shaped boxes, and handwritten notes to your guests. Nostalgic and sweet? Check!
3. Leave Cupid out of it.
He's already done his job of introducing you and your S.O., so give Cupid and his bow a rest during the "I dos." While heart-shaped details can be an adorable addition to your decor, adding that little guy to the mix might be going over the top.
4. Make the most of the off-season.
Venues, planners, dresses, and more will all likely be tagged with more affordable prices during this time of year. Embrace the wedding off-season and you may save yourselves some serious money.
5. Seal 'em with a kiss.
What's cuter than sending your guests save the dates that ask "Will you be ours on February 14th?" How about die-cut heart-shaped invitations or special "XO" stamps on your envelopes?
6. Serve up the sweets.
We all know that Valentine's Day is about more than love... It's about sweets! Consider a heart-shaped cake, or cupcakes topped with pink icing or red and white sprinkles. A candy bar is pretty much the perfect addition to your dessert spread, too.
7. Plan a special send-off.
Have 100 red balloons blown up before your departure - they can be heart-shaped, or standard balloons. At the end of your reception, when you and your hubby depart, guests can let go of the balloons and watch a hundred hearts fill the sky.
