There's nothing better than looking down on your hand for the first time and seeing a glistening engagement ring on your finger. But if you want to keep appreciating that shine, you may need to put in a little bit of extra work. Maintaining the signature glow of your gorgeous ring is important, and it can easily be done with the help of a professional jeweler. That's right,  it's not all about selling. They'll clean your rings too! For a price, of course... But you've got enough spending to worry about if you're already planning a wedding. Who has the cash for a professional ring cleaning on top of everything else? Good for you, if that's up your alley! Live your best life and get that ring cleaned. But everyone's everyday life can be messy, and we don't want anyone having to worry about keeping their ring sparkling. We're going to share three easy methods for cleaning your rings at home. It's simple, cost-effective, and will get you the same results as breaking the bank to get a jeweler to do it. The founder of The Diamond Reserve, Kaeleigh Testwuide, has been kind enough to share these incredible ring and diamond cleaning tips that will keep your ring sparkly just like it did on the very first day you put it on!1. The Quick And Easy Method     On a weekly basis, if possible, soak your engagement ring and any other diamond jewelry in hot water mixed with Dawn gentle dish soap. Emphasis on the gentle! Let it soak overnight and be sure that's it's fully submerged. The next day, remove it from the soapy water and use a soft-bristle toothbrush to give it a gentle scrubbing. Follow this overnight bath and scrub down with a quick rinse in cold water, then pat your ring dry using a paper towel! This is such a simple method that requires common household items you most likely already have at home! Despite how simple this method is, the results are still stunning! Who knew that dish soap was the simple secret to keeping your ring shining extra bright? 2. For The Ring Cleaning Connoisseur   If you consider yourself a true sparkle devote and want to take things a bit further than dish soap alone, you're going to have to develop an arsenal of professional tools. First, there's the ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, these come in at a variety of price points. No worries, you definitely don't need the most expensive one!  Second is professional jewelry cleaning soap, you will want to mix this with water into the ultrasonic cleaner. You will add four cap-fulls of cleaner and then fill the rest up with water. You only need to change the solution out of your ultrasonic cleaner once a month, so this option is definitely less labor-intensive than weekly dish soap baths! Simply place your ring in the cleaner every night while you are sleeping. You really only have to turn on the actual vibration of the machine once or twice a month during this process. Regular soaking is enough for the most part. When you remove your rings and other diamond jewelry from the ultrasonic cleaner, give them a gentle brushing with a soft-bristle toothbrush, rinse with cold water, and pat dry with a paper towel. Or, if you're really feeling fancy, you can dry them off with your blow dryer! If you don't want the ultrasonic cleaner taking up valuable counter space, just store it under the sink or tuck it away somewhere else. You don't need to keep it plugged in unless you are using the vibration, which you'll only need to do occasionally.
3. Let's Get Steamy     If you are even more determined to keep your diamonds sparkling, then the next best thing to do is to purchase a jewelry steamer, double points if it has an ultrasonic cleaner built-in. We love a good two-for-one deal! To incorporate the steamer into your ring cleaning routine, follow either of the cleaning steps we've outlined above, but after rinsing with cold water, skip the paper towels and steam your rings dry. Not only will this dry up your ring with ease, but the best part is that steaming will remove even a hint of any watermarks. This will give you the ultimate shine.
