If you're not sure where to start your wedding workout routine, we've got you covered. Check out these 6 fitness classes that are definitely worth trying! A lot of brides want to lose weight or tone up before their big day so they can look and feel great for their walk down the aisle. If you're not sure where to start your wedding workout routine, we've got you covered. Everyone has different tastes, needs, and interests, so it's just a matter of figuring out what style will work best for you.
1. Bar Method.
Barre Method classes are low-impact but total body workouts. They utilize ballet and free-weights to elongate, strengthen, and target complex muscle groups, so expect to be super sore in places you never knew existed the next day. If you have back pain or suffer from stiffness, then this is a great option because you'll get your sweat on without putting a lot of pressure on your joints.
2. SoulCycle.
The spinning craze has grown exponentially in its popularity over the past few years, and SoulCycle is leading the charge. Their classes provide total body workouts — it's not just about peddling your legs on a bike! Instructors will have you working your core, your arms, your chest, and your back simultaneously. The classes are set in dimly lit rooms and feature powerful beats, motivational mantras, and grapefruit-scented candles that will help push you through the workout. Riding a stationary bike has never been so fun.
3. Aerial Yoga.
If you're looking for a workout that's out of the ordinary, check out an aerial yoga class. Using large fabric swings that hang from the ceiling, this workout will work on your strength and flexibility while incorporating traditional yoga techniques. As you twirl around in the air, you'll be having so much fun you may forget you're even working out. #winning
4. Crossfit.
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past decade, you've probably heard about Crossfit. These high-impact, full-body workouts are no joke. They involve everything from cardio and weight lifting to core training and even elements of gymnastics. One of the perks of this class is that you will never do the same workout twice, it varies each class. If getting your ass kicked is your thing, then this class is the perfect fit for you.
5. TRX.
This cool workout will have you sweating like whoa. TRX is a total body workout that rocks your core, and it's pretty accessible to any level of fitness. TRX utilizes suspension training, which means you're working against your own body weight. The best part? You can do these workouts just about anywhere, from your living room to the playground, and everywhere in between.
6. Pilates Plus.
Talk about a sweat sesh; Pilates Plus takes regular pilates classes up a few notches by incorporating some serious cardio. This is not your regular mat class, Loverlies, this is pilates on crack...in a good way! With the reformer classes you will get toned while working on your flexibility; add in the "plus" and you'll get a little cardio, a little weight training, and whole lotta sore muscles. Disclaimer: Remember that not all exercises are suitable for everyone. We recommend that you consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program, and if you ever feel dizzy or uncomfortable, stop immediately!
