Join the Loverly team! We’re looking for a Senior Editor to support our Marketing Team across all Loverly's content initiatives.
We are seeking a seasoned editor with prior experience at an editorial site or publication to lead Loverly’s editorial efforts as well as our podcast scripting. You will work directly with our VP, Brand Marketing and the overall Brand team to write compelling, relevant content for our audience. You’re a skilled wordsmith with a deep understanding of SEO and experience crafting high-performing stories with a strong editorial voice, style, and POV. Our ideal candidate can easily produce both trendy round-ups and provocative listicles as well as longer-form pieces based on a couple’s love story, a wedding planning topic, or a vendor spotlight to name a few. Insights inform your content decisions so you write with purpose – whether it be Loverly site, social or email data, an industry statistic, or simply spotting a new trend. Loverly has published thousands of wedding planning articles over the years, so this role also has a component of revisiting and revising historical content. The goal is to ensure all the content on all our owned platforms is updated, relevant, and optimized for our current audience.
To support the Loverly podcast, launching soon, you will research and work with our booked talent to devise question sets and overall script guidelines. After recording, you will help write transcripts and promotional pieces for site, social, email and press to support each episode and the overall podcast.
This role is currently remote with future potential to work from our New York or LA offices. This role will report into our VP, Brand Marketing and will work closely with our Brand and Partnership Teams.
- Write new articles weekly, plus revisit and revise 1-2 article topics each week
- Develop the process for content writing, including SEO research and brief building, execution, performance tracking and optimizations
- Collaborate with all teams to build and maintain an editorial calendar
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team for sponsored editorial content deliverables and deadlines
- Manage a freelance contributor network as needed
- Own podcast research, script writing, transcripts, and additional promotional materials
- Work with VP, Brand Marketing on any PR press releases and promotional materials needed
